Chris Hall

Federal Program Officer - Iowa

Chris Hall joined the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) in December 2022 as the Federal Program Officer (FPO) for the State of Iowa. In this role, Chris coordinates partnerships and outreach with state and local government, community organizations, and industries with a vested interest in NTIA’s high-speed internet grant programs. Chris works directly with Iowa’s broadband office to ensure comprehensive engagement from all stakeholders in the State’s program design and buildout.

Before joining NTIA, Chris was elected to six terms in the Iowa House of Representatives where he was recognized for his deep understanding of the state budget process and bipartisan approach to lawmaking. Outside of the legislature, Chris spent eight years as a grant-writer for Western Iowa Tech Community College, assisting in workforce development efforts and reducing barriers for first-generation families and students.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Grinnell College. He was twice selected by the Council of State Governments for fellowships in leadership development and completed the grant-writing seminar at Drake University’s Center for Professional Studies.
